Make Things Happen
Apart from functionality, this washi tape delivers a message apt for all dreamers out there: MAKE THINGS HAPPEN TODAY.
To kick-off the launch, Abbey shared her lettering journey as well as some insights and tips to start making things happen. What stuck to my mind was this: MAKE TIME. Having a day job and spending weeknights/weekends doing calligraphy, I feel that 24 hours in a day is not enough. BUT, since I love calligraphy (and going on adventures), it is only fair to ALWAYS make time for the things I love to do. Balance is important. In terms of crafts/hobbies, if you don't make time to do it or to practice, there will be no progress.
Now off to the messy part of the launch: Shrink art and Designing ceramics! Each participant was given a Make Things Happen washi tape, shrink art plastic, ceramic bowl or mug, and a Zig marker.

Of course I wouldn't miss taking a photo of these ceramic bowls painted by Tippy of Googlygooeys. She never fails to come up with beautiful and colourful works! <3
Forgive my lack of on-the-spot creativity. My love for the ocean made me paint another sea/water related artwork. Also, I wrote my fave line "Live Free" for my shrink art! My talented seat mate Jamie Catt gave me her gold/magenta botanical shrink art. SO BEAUTIFUL <3
